Happy Thanksgiving II

Aunt Tamara's world travels brought her to Emily and Zachary's house over the weekend...

The children were happy to stay home on Friday... here's the "big sister" and "little brother" in their new sweatshirts... And w/ Aunt Tamara...
And there was play dough playing... I even think this was Zachary's first time... he did try once (that we know of) to put the play dough in his mouth... it was funnier to see Aunt Tamara's panic reaction. Good reflexes! She passed the test!

The opportunity also was one for another delicious Thanksgiving meal!!
Pie anyone? Some pictures with our two favorite great Busias...
And we tried for some generational pictures... Busia Rezler was happy anyway.

And one more... (apparently momma's eyes closed above were catchy for Busia here.) We displayed some of Emily's fall artwork for the dinner table. These things are always a treat! In addition to the beautiful pictures, I love it when she actually makes something that in some way needs her feedback... asking-a-question-and-thinking-for-an-answer-type-of-feedback. For instance, a while back, they finger painted w/ green and white and threw some silver sparklies on a paper... they were "Dandelion wishes". The teachers asked the kids what their wishes were and then wrote them on the papers. Emily's wish was for a Strawberry Shortcake doll w/ white stripes. Or for mother's day, the kids were asked what they loved about their mother's and she answered that "she lets me eat fruit snacks." Another time, they made a fish, and the kids were asked to name their fish. Emily's was named "Emily."

This time, Emily made an owl. Here she poses w/ GaGa. (For those of you who don't understand 3-year old... that's GaGa... pronounced Dziadzia!)
One last picture of our Happy Thanksgiving II...

Dziadzia playing catch w/ Zachary. You'll notice some of our kitchen cupboards in the background... which are currently all removed as we're having some water damage repaired. I'll see if we can re-live this picture w/ the new stuff once it's in!

After a great visit, Emily is already looking forward to the next one! After all, we didn't get to finger paint, swing, color, play dress up, puzzles, blocks, kitchen, tea party or watch movies!
