50 years and counting!
Momma, Daddy, Emily and Zachary visited Madonna University on Saturday to help Sister Kathy celebrate her 50th Anniversary.
First there was a mass... and wanting to sit "near" the front so Emily could see, turned into sitting in the front row (when the rest of the family filed in behind us.) That was momma, daddy, Emily and Zachary, right up front for all to see...hmm, that was pressure. Momma and daddy got a work out, (Emily was great, puppy almost ended up across the church a few times, and I think everyone in attendance knows that one of Z's favorite words is "No.") I feel safe to say that everyone was entertained.
On to the dinner... where first we had to dodge the goose poop along the way.... (quite a big deal for a 2 and 4 year old!)

And then we stopped to look at the water....

Zachary and Emily had their first taste of sparkling grape juice... and this is what Zachary thought of that!

Emily helped Sister Kathy cut the cake...

And after a wonderful dinner, Aunt Rita (very thankfully) rounded up her siblings for one of their most favorite things in the whole world... (or as Sister said, the favorite part is the cooperation (or lack) they show when being rounded up.) From left, Aunty Judi, Uncle Franky, Aunt Rita, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Mike, Busia, Sister Kathy. 8 of 12 is pretty darn amazing, only missing in body, but definitely there in our thoughts were Uncles Ronny, Patrick, Larry and Uncle Kenny... who of course is always in our hearts.
And one final picture of the jubilarian.... two wonderful smiles and a very tired boy!

Sister K, congrats and many, many more! I always loved visiting Madonna all those years and always hoped I'd run into you in the bookstore!
