Winter Wonderland

It's about time we got rid of the 40 degree winter we were having and got ourselves some snow to play in!! This is the first year that Zachary could play!

Emily was excited to pull Zach around on the sled...
Of course, that really didn't last too long. Emily decided it was much more fun to be pulled along w/ him...
And then of course there was snow to eat.... she just loves to eat the crusty snow off her mittens...Zach learned that it's really hard to walk around. At one point, he tried to climb a little berm made from Daddy plowing snow... and Momma was right there when he fell...(w/ the camera that is.)
PHEW! Playing out in the snow is hard work! This weekend we even had the first snowmobile ride of the season. Last year Emily wasn't so excited and spent most of the time crying. This year was quite different! She loved it! Unfortunately for her, Zach loved it too!! Once we got him on the sled, we couldn't get him off!
So, daddy did a turn or two around the yard w/ both of them...After the snowmobile rides, Emily wanted to show us how she learned to make snow angels at school...Except, it was snowing at the time, and the snow was falling right in her face; she didnt' like that so much...
Zach was still getting used to the whole "I can't really walk or move in the snow" thing, so he found no interest in laying down to make snow angels... even though Daddy tried!

Dang, that's pretty deep! Send some of that stuff to AA... we're tired of these little dustings.

Heavy helmets on little heads seems to do more damage than good... for the putting around yard anyway. When they get older (and bigger/stronger), we'll get them helmets.
