Last week of 2006...

The last week of 2006 had a handful of firsts for Emily.... here are the highlights for the rest of '06...

Santa left Emily nail polish in her stocking.... and Aunt Tamara painted her finger nails...for first #1. Toes were not painted, although Emily asked several times, (and even said please. Sometimes, however, the answer is still no.)We didn't make it to the Wlodarczak's for Christmas day dinner, so we made sure to pay a visit to Busia W!Emily and Zachary showing off some of their new Christmas-ware...First #2... was a trip to the movie theater to see Charlotte's Web. Emily was so excited! We had popcorn, and the lights turned off, and it was a great movie... until Charlotte died. Seems I forgot that part. The after-show was a little stressful as a result.....Emily and Zachary gave Aunt Tamara a gift card to Chuck E Cheese for Christmas... which was first #3! Here Emily and Zachary (and Busia and Aunt Tamara) are soaking it all in...Emily and Aunt Tamara concentrated on the games...
While Zachary concentrated on the rides... he loved Bob the Builder!!
Both took a spin on the merry-go-round...

And we tried for a ride in the monster truck... but Zachary didn't like it and wanted out...Two hours + Friday afternoon + Christmas break = more than enough time at Chuck E's... I think everyone had sensory overload!!

First #4... Emily's first hair cut. Momma finally caved.... bangs have been cut, but her hair, down to her waist, was as old as she was! It was tough (for momma), but Emily did great, (I think we were watching Curious George at the time), and we have a nice 5" lock to save...
Then for the 5th first in the handful...we played w/ Busia's and Dziadzia's Thomas the Train ball pit.... its home will be their basement, but it was tested and tried out at Emily's and Zachary's house...Zachary mastered (if that's what you call it) head first into the pit... momma's a little concerned w/ that trick being performed on the basement floor...Good thing the train is big enough to share!
Last, but certainly not least... one more try for family pictures... Emily and Zachary w/ Aunt Tamara....And time to include the dogs... we missed Mandy, but were happy to include Grandpa's dog Bucky!! (Bailey and Molly were worse than a couple of kids... the separation seen here was necessary for the growling!)
