Emily turns 3!

OK, so I suppose I'll start this thing w/ Emily's latest celebration.... my baby girl turned 3!! (So, it's only taken me 3 years to jump into the blogging thing. Ya, so what. )

Emily had a great birthday. Last year she knew on the day of her birthday that it was "her day" and she was getting presents. This year she knew weeks BEFORE her birthday that it was coming up.... and she knew she'd be getting presents. It was a whole new treat to see her look forward to it and ask everyday "is it my birthday today?" The day was spent celebrating w/ Busia and Dziadzia, Nana and Pa, Grandpa, Busia Rezler and our special guest all the way from Texas was Aunt Tamara! Thanks to everyone who braved the snowstorm that day. Here's a couple pics from her big day:

The CAKE.... dun dun DUN..... Thanks to Busia Rezler for saving the day w/ the idea for the "pink frosting". Emily wanted a pink cake... and didn't care so much that I wanted to make chocolate cake. SO... here's to the next generation of Busia's famous recipe: cool whip and raspberry jam substituted the chocolate frosting.
